Robots at the Science Museum

We went to see the Robots exhibition at the Science Museum today and it was pretty cool. It looked at robots chronologically, starting from way back when the Church commissioned clockwork automata to represent various religious things and then it moved onto clockwork toys, like the creepiest tiny clockwork spider, which must have freaked quite a few people out a few hundred years ago. The exhibition also had robots from TV and film (including one of the Terminators) and then it moved onto ‘real life’ robots from the 21st century, which were fascinating to see. There’s a short video below of mainly those 21st century machines.
