I miss sewing, I only have two or three possible days to do it each week and of course those days have other demands on them too. So when you’re trying to squeeze something in to a relatively short period of time, all the tasks that are part of sewing, can gang up in one daunting jumble. So I’m trying to separate those tasks out, as in “I’m not sewing, I’m picking the fabric” or in this case in the photo “I’m not sewing, I’m sticking together the pattern pieces”. Using this approach allows me to stay present in exactly what I’m doing without getting daunted and it means that I can slot sewing tasks into days where although I can’t sew (not enough time that day or other people using my sewing space), I can cut out pattern pieces for example. Anyway, I’m making a start on the Forager Vest pattern.
