I’ve finally finished a scarf that I’ve been working on, on and off, since January. It had initially been planned as a Christmas present and it probably still will be, although I’m not sure that the recipient is particularly a scarf person but it’s the thought that counts. It’s my own ‘design’. The wool, which is Paintbox Chunky, is nice and squishy. I’m, to be honest, not that impressed with the finished scarf, it looks a bit too handmade to me but I’m probably not feeling the love for it because I just wanted to finish the darn thing. Knitting scarves in May, or April for that matter, doesn’t feel right but I’d hit an invisible no more knitted WIPs barrier, what I really fancy knitting is socks or maybe a halter top in cotton, but I didn’t feel justified starting a new knitted thing, until I finished this.
